A Folk Horror Tale

For the Co-Ed "Artisanal" 2021 collection, Maison Margiela is interested in the desires of a new utopian youth connected to the circles of life, time and nature. The collection is unveiled in the feature film “A Folk Horror Tale”, based on the original concept by John Galliano and directed by Olivier Dahan. Through the grammar of haute couture, the collection expresses the notion of neo-alchemistry: the search for authenticity through scientific transmutations of familiar clothing shapes and textures, in a harmonious dialogue with the natural elements.
