In the early 1980s, in the Chilean desert, 11-year-old Lidia grows up in a flamboyant family that has found refuge in a cabaret on the outskirts of a mining town. When a mysterious and deadly disease begins to spread, a rumor emerges that it can be transmitted through a single glance. As fear and paranoia take hold, the community becomes the target of collective suspicion and prejudice. In this modern western, Lidia fights to protect the people she loves.
